Project Overview

Proposed project is an Parking Lot Occupancy Tracking System. this system is to track and manage occupancy of a parking lot and allow customers to find out available parking places easily by glancing at the screen.This will provide information about available parking spaces to customers who trying to access to the parking area. This reduces the parking search traffic, human power as well as the parking search time especially in a huge parking area.

Major Goal:

provide a solution to reduce the amount of time needed to search for a vacant parking lot in large parking area

a)Contain a database.

- Contain all the information about the commuters.
- Allow retrieval and addition of information.

b)Display parking space availability.

- Display the number of occupied spaces.
- Display the number of vacant spaces.
- Display message on the display board.

c)send information to the unit controllers

- receive information from sensors.
- send information to control system.

d)Recognize the parked vehicle.

- Sensor must recognize the parked vehicle.

e)The control center should have security.

- The control center should have role based security system.

f)Reports to be generated to track and analyze.

- Administrator wants to check the information for periodic of time.
